B2B companies invest in more digital technology in 2021.

By Digital Commerce 360

Following online sales increases in 2020, B2B companies are making significant investments in digital technology systems in 2021, according to a Digital Commerce 360 survey of 110 B2B professionals. More than three-quarters of respondents said their ecommerce sales increased in 2020 over the prior year, and nearly half of all respondents said their ecommerce sales rose by at least 25%. In 2021, most respondents said they plan to make at least “some investment” across nine areas ranging from ecommerce sites and online payment options to customer service and supply chains. The three areas most cited for “significant investment” are ecommerce platforms, technology infrastructure and digital marketing.
